The Swiss owners of Posada La Poza have created a charming boutique hotel with just eight spacious rooms, beautiful gardens, lovely pool area and gourmet restaurant, with impressive attention to detail. Located a 10-minute drive from the arty town of Todos Santos the property enjoys fantastic ocean and lagoon views. The pristine beach is within easy walking distance, but there is no swimming. The hotel has been created to showcase traditional Mexican style with hand-painted tiles, authentic textiles and warm wood accents. We think couples looking for a peaceful location for relaxing and exploring the charming town of Todos Santos will love this small hotel with delightful owners only too happy to help ensure you get the most from your stay. Posada La Poza does not accept children under the age of 13 years.
The handsome generously-sized rooms have terracotta walls, modern furniture, quality mattresses and premium Swiss linens. All accommodation includes a patio or terrace for enjoying the views of the gardens, lagoon and ocean. Amenities include air-conditioning, ceiling fan, en-suite bathroom with shower, bathrobes, minibar, safe, CD player, binoculars and a bird guidebook. While there is purposefully no TVs or phones in the rooms, there is Wi-Fi for those that need to stay connected and there is the option to upgrade to a Junior Suite which includes a private hot tub. El Gusto restaurant serves up high quality fine dining cuisine and breakfast is included in the room rate.
There is a heated saltwater pool and Jacuzzi and the hotel can arrange for massages on request. The beautiful gardens attract many different bird species, as does the lagoon and we think birders will love Posada La Poza. This is also a lovely place to relax and the grounds are dotted with traditional pergolas providing a shady area to swing on a hammock or laze on a chaise longue. For great views, food and accommodation, we’d recommend Posada La Poza as a quality base for exploring Todos Santos.
When to go
Without a doubt the best season to visit Baja is during the whale migration between December and March. The weather in Baja is at its warmest between these months too, but also bring high hotel prices.
