Days 1 - 4 : Mexico City, Mexico
Stay at Gran Hotel Ciudad de Mexico for 3 nights
Begin with three nights in Mexico City, soaking in the sights and sounds of Mexico's bustling capital. Explore key historical and cultural sights, from the Templo Mayor ruins in the heart of the city to the Museum of Anthropology and the iconic blue house of artist Frida Kahlo. Head outside of the city to visit the incredible ruins of Teotihuacan which are still being uncovered and enjoy mouthwatering cuisine throughout your stay.
Day 4 - 5 : Chihuahua, Copper Canyon
Fly over to Chihuahua where your adventure through the Copper Canyon begins. Enjoy a city tour in the afternoon and explore key sites such as the cathedral, government palace and the Museum of the Revolution. Stay in the colonial centre for one night before continuing your journey in the morning.
Days 5 - 7 : Copper Canyon, Colonial Highlands
Stay at Posada Barrancas Mirador for 2 nights
In the morning, board the train into the Copper Canyon and admire the spectacular landscapes that continue to impress as you speed on past. Soak in the scenery as you cross numerous bridges which emphasise the dizzying depths of this natural wonder, enjoying treks to incredible waterfalls and lakes on your free day. Each journey on board the train will be between 2 – 7 hours where you will experience a vast variety of landscapes. Stay in simple yet comfortable accommodation throughout.
Day 7 - 8 : El Fuerte, Mexico
Stay at Posada del Hidalgo for 1 night
Disembark the Copper Canyon train in El Fuerte, where you will spend your final night in this region.
Days 8 - 10 : La Paz, Baja California, Mexico
Stay at Posada de las Flores La Paz for 2 nights
From El Fuerte, you will be transferred to the airport in Los Mochis in time for your flight across to La Paz, on Mexico's Baja California peninsula. La Paz is the gateway into the wildlife rich waters of the Sea of Cortez, offering a base for excursions to the Espiritu Santo islands, swimming with sea lions, manta rays and whale sharks and even whale watching between November and April. Stay for 2 nights here and enjoy an array of marine adventures.
Days 10 - 13 : San Jose del Cabo, Baja California
Stay at Hotel El Ganzo for 3 nights
San Jose del Cabo is the final stop on the adventure which is perfect for a few days of relaxation and exploration. Immerse yourself in the more cultural side of Cabo with a stay at cool hotel El Ganzo, which hosts artists and musicians in residence and boasts a fantastic rooftop sushi bar. 20-minutes away by bicycle is the hotel's beach club where you can relax to your heart's content or get out on the water by SUP or kayak. This is the perfect way to round off your Mexico holiday.
