Embark on your very own adventure around Zimbabwe beginning with a visit to the ever-impressive Victoria Falls. Staying downstream of the Falls with impressive views of Batoka Gorge, this is the perfect off-the-beaten-track location, yet still close enough for lots of activities. Your safari experience will begin in the wonderful Hwange National Park with a walking safari with exceptional guiding. There is plenty of wildlife to spot, with a particularly impressive elephant population. From here you will fly to Mana Pools National Park. After a night in the park with game drives and walking on offer you will embark on a truly unique three night canoeing safari along the mightly Zambezi, which offers exciting game viewing and the chance to connect with the wild - an experience you will never forget!
Days 1 - 3 : Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe
Stay at Gorges Lodge for 2 nights
On arrival into Victoria Falls you will be met and driven to Gorges Lodge downstream of Victoria Falls with a breath-taking position overlooking Batoka Gorge. You will spend two nights here with all meals, house drinks and selected activities included. Gorges Lodge has a unique setting away from the busy-ness of Victoria Falls itself with panoramic views on offer from the lodge over the gorge. During your time here you will have the chance to visit the Falls themselves, as well as visit the local village and go for a walk along the lip of the gorge. There is plenty to do activity-wise around Victoria Falls with helicopter flights, white-water rafting and bungee jumping all on offer!
Days 3 - 6 : Hwange National Park, Zimbabwe
Stay at Camp Hwange for 3 nights
This morning you will be collected and transferred to Hwange National Park for a traditional safari experience. Hwange offers exceptional game viewing and is particularly well-known for it's impressive elephant population. You will stay at Camp Hwange with all meals, house drinks and game viewing activities included. Whilst game drives are offered, the focus here is on getting out on foot in the bush on a walking safari. Under the instruction of your guide and tracker you will have the rare opportunity to track big game on foot as well as being taught about the smaller aspects of the bush. Camp Hwange also offers night drives which are the perfect way to observe elusive noctural species including leopards and bat-eared fox. The camp also has a hide - an afternoon here offers rewarding opportunities to observe game at close quarters, going largely undetected.
Day 6 - 7 : Mana Pools National Park
After a final activity this morning you will be flown from Hwange to Mana Pools. Upon arrival you will be met by your guide and game driven to Camp Zambezi on the banks of the Zambezi with incredible views over the river and to Zambia beyond. You will spend one night here in a rustic, yet luxurious tent with all meals, house drinks, park fees and game viewing activites included. This afternoon you will have the chance to go on a game drive or out on foot on a walking safari, which allows you to appreciate the bush on a more microscopic level, with a real sense of adventure. Alternatively you can take to the river to explore in a Canadian-style canoe with a professional guide.
Days 7 - 10 : Mana Pools, Zimbabwe
Stay at Mana Shoreline Canoe Safari for 3 nights
Today you will begin your exciting Mana Shoreline Canoe Safari, offering a unique way to experience the wondrous wildlife along the mighty Zambezi. Paddle past wallowing hippos and see elephants swimming across the river in front of you, as well as there being exceptional birdwatching on offer. Days will be tailored to your interests and abilities but will tend to involve rising early to be on the water for sunrise and arriving into the next camp in time for sunset and a lovely hot shower! You will spend three nights in all on the canoe trail with all of your meals, house drinks and park fees included as well as the use of a professional guide who will expertly guide you along the Zambezi as well as taking you on bush walks and game drives should you wish. Camp life is completely relaxed and non-participatory, the camp will be built and broken down by staff with your luggage transferred by vehicle. This is certainly the most adventurous way to explore the Zambezi and Mana Pools' wonderful game viewing.
Day 10 : Mana Pools - Harare
This morning you will be able to go on a final game drive or bush walk before being flown by light aircraft to Harare. Upon arrival you will be able to check in for your international flight home, marking the end of your exciting adventure around Zimbabwe.
