An incredible honeymoon with lots of wow factor for an amazingly memorable time in Botswana and Mozambique. Nxabega is a very romantic tented camp in a fantastic setting which allows for both water and land-based activities couple with exciting game viewing. From here you will fly to Savuti in southern Chobe to continue with your wonderful safari experience. Days 1 - 4 : Okavango Delta, Botswana
Stay at Nxabega Okavango Safari Camp for 3 nights
On arrival into Maun you will be met and assisted to your light aircraft for a scenic flight into the Okavango Delta. On landing you will be met by your guide and game driven to Nxabega Okavango Tented Camp where you will stay for three nights with all meals, house drinks, park fees and game viewing activities included. Nxabega - meaning place of the giraffe - is a mixed camp offering both dry activities including game drives, night drives and bush walks as well as water-based activities including mokoros safaris and boat cruises, to offer a really well-rounded safari experience. Accommodation is provided in just nine tented rooms making for an intimate, exclusive and very romantic stay. Situated on a wide open channel the camp enjoys spectauclar views over the Delta with wonderful sunsets almost guaranteed. The water in front of the camp attracts an amazing variety of birdlife as well as the huge number of wildlife species with giraffe, elephants and buffalo all seen close to camp as well the endangered wild dog on occasion.
Days 4 - 7 : Savuti, Botswana
Stay at Ghoha Hills Lodge for 3 nights
After a final game drive or boat trip this morning you will be flown from the Delta to Savuti in the south east of Chobe which is famed for its impressive lion prides and bull elephants who roam the territory. You will stay at Ghoha Hills Lodge for three nights with all meals, house drinks, park fees and game viewing activities included. Ghoha Hills has a fabulous hill-side location with wonderful views over the Savuti area of Chobe National Park and accommodation is provided in luxurious tented rooms. Your safari experience will be tailored to you with game drives on offer, with the option to do a full day safari with a romantic picnic on a river bank. This is a game rich area with elephant, lion and leopard all in residence as well as giraffe, cheetah, buffalo and various antelope.
Day 7 - 8 : Johannesburg, South Africa
After a final game drive this morning you will be flown back to Maun in time for your international flight to Johannesburg. Upon arrival you will need to clear immigration before being met and privately transferred to African Rock Hotel where you will stay for one night with breakfast included. A luxurious, boutique option, African Rock is the perfect choice for an overnight stay before you fly onto Mozambique tomorrow.
Day 8 - 9 : Johannesburg, South Africa
Days 9 - 14 : Ilha do Mozambique, Mozambique
Stay at Ossimba Beach Lodge for 5 nights
This morning you will be transferred back to Johannesburg airport for your flight to Nampula in northern Mozambique. Upon landing you will need to clear immigration before being met and transferred by road to Ossimba Lodge where you will stay for five nights with all meals, house drinks and selected activities included. Ossimba offers a barefoot luxury experience with accommodation in individual eco villas with wonderful views. Despite its remote location there is plenty to keep you busy at Ossimba Lodge. A day visit to Ilha de Mozambique is an absolute must, whilst an island beach picnic is always a romantic option. There is also the opportunity to go on a sunset sailing trip in a dhow, enjoy beach dinners as well as diving, snorkelling and canoeing. If you prefer a more relaxed pace, lie back and enjoy the setting and take a dip in the lovely pool.
Day 14 - 15 : Ossimba to Nampula Airport
Today you will be transferred to Nampula Airport in time for your international flight home, marking the end of your wonderful honeymoon on safari in Botswana and relaxing on Mozambique's beautiful beaches.
