Begin your honeymoon in the Central Valley of Costa Rica, before heading to the wildlife rich Tortuguero National Park. After navigating your way around the mangroves of Tortuguero, you will white-water raft to the luxury eco-lodge of Pacuare. Here, explore the pristine jungle and experience a number of activities on offer. Next stop is Arenal, the activity hub of Costa Rica, hike a volcano, zip-line through the rainforest and soak in the thermal hot springs. To end your adventure, travel to Manuel Antonio, an area full of golden sandy beaches and wildlife-filled National Parks. This itinerary will allow you to get under the skin of Costa Rica and stay in boutique and characterful accommodation along the way.
Days 1 - 3 : Alajuela, Costa Rica
Stay at Xandari Resort & Spa for 2 nights
Flight to San Jose. On arrival, you will be met and taken by private transfer to your hotel in the Central Valley. A full day excursion to the Doka Estate Coffee Farm, Poas Volcano and La Paz Waterfalls has been included.
Days 3 - 5 : Tortuguero, Costa Rica
Stay at Tortuga Lodge for 2 nights
From San Jose you will be transferred by road and boat to Tortuguero National Park. During your stay enjoy guided boat tours through the narrow canals of the National Park in search of caimans, sloths, toucans, turtles and monkeys. The boats are small and without a canopy for a better view.
Hikes around the National Park and walks to Tortuguero village can also be enjoyed.
Days 5 - 7 : Turrialba District, Costa Rica
Stay at Pacuare Lodge for 2 nights
Boat and land transfer to Santa Clara where you are met by the Pacuare Lodge representative and begin your rafting adventure to Pacuare Lodge. In addition to rafting, you can enjoy horseback riding, bird watching, a rainforest canopy tour, or a trek to a Cabecar Indian community (Excursions are at an additional cost).
Day 7 - 8 : Arenal, Costa Rica
Stay at Arenal Nayara for 1 night
In the morning you will depart by raft for a fun-filled day of white water rafting (approximately 3½ hours over class III-IV rapids), including a delicious picnic lunch along the river. You will be met at Siquirres by our representative who will transfer you to Arenal where your hotel is located. During your time in Arenal, enjoy a half day tour to the Sky Tram & Sky Trek plus a nice hike to the Arenal Volcano and relax at the Tabacon Hot Springs.
Days 8 - 13 : Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica
Stay at Gaia Hotel and Reserve for 5 nights
Today you will transferred to Manuel Antonio. Manuel Antonio has some of Costa Rica’s best beaches with clear and calm water, and you are almost guaranteed to see a sloth -at least one!).
Days at leisure to explore independently. We highly recommend a visit to the Manuel Antonio National Park, the main highlight of the area. This is one of the most visited national parks in the country, due to the fact that besides its exuberant tropical vegetation it also protects two of the most beautiful white sand beaches of the Central Pacific Coast. Kayak and snorkel trips are also recommended.
Day 13 - 14 : Flight Home
Transfer to the airport for your overnight flight back home.
