Begin your trip in the Central Valley of Costa Rica, before heading to the wildlife rich Tortuguero National Park. After gliding your way through the waters of Tortuguero, you will raft to the eco-lodge of Rios Tropicales. Here, you will explore the pristine jungle and experience a number of activities on offer. Next stop is Arenal, the adventure hub of Costa Rica - hike a volcano, zip-line through the rainforest and soak in the thermal hot springs. Finally, travel to the effortlessly cool Santa Teresa on the Pacific coast, an area full of wild and beautiful beaches and a laid-back vibe. This is the ideal place for rest and relaxation at the end of your Costa Rica adventure.
Day 1 - 2 : Alajuela, Costa Rica
Stay at Xandari Resort & Spa for 1 night
On arrival in San Jose, you will be met at the airport and driven to your hotel in the Central Valley to relax after your long flight.
Days 2 - 4 : Tortuguero, Costa Rica
Stay at Mawamba Lodge for 2 nights
From San Jose you will be transferred by road and boat to Tortuguero National Park. During your stay, enjoy guided boat tours through the narrow canals of the National Park in search of caimans, sloths, toucans, turtles and monkeys. The boats are small and without a canopy for a better view.
Hikes around the National Park and walks to Tortuguero village can also be enjoyed.
Days 4 - 6 : Turrialba, Sarapiqui and Pacuare, Costa Rica
Stay at Rios Tropicales Lodge for 2 nights
Today you will be met at your hotel and transferred by boat and land to your Rainforest Lodge. Rafting the majestic Pacuare River is the best way to arrive at Rios Tropicales Lodge, and once here, you have the chance to hike endless trails and swim in beautiful waterfalls and pools. Also included in your stay is a shared Canyoning and Canopy excursion.
Days 6 - 9 : Arenal, Costa Rica
Stay at Lomas del Volcan for 3 nights
In the morning you will depart by raft for a fun-filled morning of white water rafting (approximately 3.5 hours over class III-IV rapids). You will be met at Siquirres and transferred to Arenal where your hotel is located. During your time in Arenal, enjoy a half day guided hike to Arenal Volcano and relax at the Ecotermales Hot Springs.
Days 9 - 13 : Nicoya Peninsula, Santa Teresa, Costa Rica
Stay at Tropico Latino for 4 nights
This morning you will be met at your hotel and transferred by private transfer to Santa Teresa, your base for the next four blissful nights. Swim in the ocean, try out some surfing, or just relax by the pool with a good book.
Day 13 - 14 : Flight Home
Transfer to Liberia airport for your international flight back home.
