Pench Tiger Reserve Game Drives
This safari game drive in Pench Tiger Reserve can be booked for one day or multiple days. Explore the original setting of ‘The Jungle Book’ by jeep in this wonderful tour.
Pench National Park, nestled in the lower reaches of the Satpura Hills is named after the Pench River, which meanders through the park. The reserve and its surrounding neighbourhoods was the original setting of Rudyard Kipling’s ‘The Jungle Book’. The reserve has a varied landscape, from moist, sheltered valleys to open, dry forest. There are over 285 species of resident and migratory birds in Pench National Park, making it a haven for birders. Four species of endangered vultures, white-rumped, long billed, white scavenger and king vulture, can be seen in good numbers in the reserve. On your safari game drive you can expect to see large herds of Gaur (Indian Bison), wild dog and wild boar. The main predators are tiger, leopard and wolf and other animals include sloth bear, jackal, jungle cats and hyena.
