Game Drives in the Sabi Sands
Head out in the world famous Sabi Sands Game Reserve which is thought to be one of the most game rich areas on the continent. Keep your eyes peeled for the 'Big Five', specifically the magnificent leopard for which it is particularly well-known for.
Established in 1898, the Sabi Sands Game Reserve is comprised of 65,000 hectares and is almost as old as the Kruger itself. Sharing an open border with Kruger National Park, game is able to wander freely between the two and the surrounding Sabi River and location of the Sand River offers plenty in way of water for game to drink. Game drives will leave early in the morning and again in the late afternoon to avoid the hottest parts of the day where animals tend to be sleeping in the shade.
