Shivapuri Heights is a small guesthouse consisting of two cottages with five rooms between them, and a further two rooms in the main house. Four rooms are en-suite, and stays include a delicious breakfast and evening meal cooked with fresh local ingredients.
Kathmandu is around forty minutes away, and the guesthouse is on the edge of Shivapuri National Park which protects one of the last tracts of forest in the Kathmandu Valley, with plenty of trails for trekkers and mountain bikers through orchid-festooned, monkey-rich woodland.
There’s a wide range of activities to do at the cottages including yoga and wellness programmes, cooking lessons, organic gardening and mountain biking. You can even enjoy a haircut with a view from the cottage terrace!
