When to go
Java’s dry season runs from May to September, with hot, sunny days making this the best time to visit, particularly for climbing Mount Bromo or the Ijen Crater. The wet season runs from November to March, where a mixture of sunny and cloudy days are punctuated with short, intense showers. Temperatures are consistently warm throughout the year, but are a little cooler in upland areas, especially at night.
