The lodge comprises of ten spacious suites which are luxuriously appointed with en-suite bathrooms, and a private viewing patio.
During your stay you can enjoy excellent river fishing, canoeing, river cruises, bush walks and game drives in the Kariega Game Reserve where game such as lion, elephant, rhino, buffalo and leopard could be spotted. The reserve itself is bordered by both the Kariega and Bushmans river valleys, offering varied landscapes and ecosystems such as valley bushveld, fynbos, acacia woodland and savannah.
When to go
The Eastern Cape remains a great destination for the family to visit all year, combining Mediterranean and sub-tropical weather, temperatures remain pleasant and rarely reach extremes. The dry season runs from September until March with temperatures falling slightly until August, with midday temperatures reaching around 22°C (72°F).

Kariega Boat Safari
Boat safaris on the Kariega River are included during your stay and allow you to see the bush from another perspective. An abundance of bird and wildlife can often be spotted while on a river cruise and sometimes animals can be seen at the banks drinking.
Kariega Game Drive
Game drives are an excellent way to see the bush and some game in their natural habitat. In open safari vehicles you will be able to enjoy the sights and sounds of the bush as an experienced ranger provides information about the bush.
