Positioned along a stretch of silver sand alongside an inviting and warm blue sea, Atmosphere Resort is really rather special. The natural setting is simply magnificent with the neighbouring islands of Cebu, Bohol and Siquijor framing wonderful sunrise vistas, and it is hard to do justice to the magical tranquility of the place. In this enchanted world, Atmosphere itself consists of fourteen suites, apartments and penthouses scattered among the lush gardens. All are incredibly spacious and offer views from a hammock-slung private verandah across the gardens with most through to the sea. Crisp, white Egyptian cotton linens, soft white fluffy towels, branded cosmetics, flat screen televisions and mini bars are standard throughout, as well as your choice of king-size or twin beds. All rooms have wireless internet connection. The 200 square metre Penthouses offer a master bedroom and guest bedroom with en-suite bathrooms, an open plan kitchen, and a living and dining area which leads onto a large external balcony, perfect for two couples or a family.
At Atmosphere the warmest Filipino hospitality is combined with first class amenities. The signature fine dining restaurant Blue is situated by the beach to take full advantage of the sea views and the sound of the waves, and you can enjoy a sumptuous roast rib eye carved at your table or the freshest of daily seafood delicacies accompanied by wines from the superbly stocked cellar. Alternatively, guests have the option to dine privately in a number of more intimate al fresco locations throughout the resort. You can also enjoy a ‘Day with the Chef’ programme, where one of the chefs will accompany you to the market and then teach you how to cook local Filipino delicacies. Unwind after an exciting day by paying a visit to the enchanted spa or relaxing by the beachfront infinity pool. Spa treatments are also available in the comfort of your suite, and yoga classes are taught by the in-house yoga instructor.
Atmosphere is ideally located to take full advantage of some of the world's best scuba diving. World- renowned Apo Island with its stunning walls and reefs is close by, and there are myriad dive sites along the Dauin coastline which are superb for macro photography. Atmosphere's state-of-the-art dive centre is designed by divers for divers, but all levels are welcomed, and PADI courses are offered. Non-diving activities include dolphin watching, and visits to some of the island’s waterfalls and mountain lakes can also be organised, meaning that non-divers also have plenty to do.
Negros has a tropical climate and is situated outside the typhoon belt. Generally, the dry season runs from November to May, with scattered showers between June and October. January is usually the coolest month, with temperatures averaging about 25°C, and May the hottest, with an average temperature of about 28°C.
