When To Go To Bolivia
Although Bolivia is a year round destination, the climate varies and is influenced by altitude.
Winter Dry Season - April to October
April to November is the best time to visit, it can be a bit cooler than in the summer, but the skies are clear with plenty of sunshine.
The Altiplano experiences low temperatures, which drop below 0 degrees Celsius at night.
This is the high season in Bolivia and the perfect time to photograph the white salt flats and colourful lagoons against a backdrop of beautiful blue skies.
Summer Wet Season - November to March
December to March is the rainy season. Bolivia sees heavy rains in January and February when many of the roads to places you'll want to explore may be impracticable due to flooding.
Visiting Bolivia is still possible at this time, with the added bonus of low visitor numbers and great hotel rates.
