Sri Lanka's East Coast

Sri Lanka's east coast is still largely undeveloped, and is slowly emerging as a superb destination to visit with a range of new hotels being built and relatively few tourists. It is also perfect weather wise during the summer months, when the monsoon hits the south and west coasts.

Sri Lankas East Coast

The east coast is very different to the rest of Sri Lanka with predominately Tamil speaking people, and a different weather pattern meaning it is perfect in the summer months. The capital is Trincomalee which blends a dash of colonial history and the colour of Hindu temples and stunning coastal scenery. Down the coast you will find sleepy coastal palm-fringed beaches, although there is widespread construction centred around the town of Passekudah. However, we know the perfect untouched areas making a visit to the east coast extremely worthwhile compared to the more touristy areas in the south and west coasts.
