Bharatpur is a city in east Rajasthan, primarily known for Keoloadeo National Park (formerly Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary). There are a few historical vestiges to be discovered, including Lohagarh, a moat-encircled 18th century fort, however the main attraction is undoubtedly the UNESCO listed Keoloadeo National Park, an avifauna sanctuary home to thousands of birds, and a haven for keen birders.
