Off the beaten track

Our off-the-beaten track options will excite even the most jaded traveller.

Namibia is full of opportunities for unique experiences that set it apart from the rest of Africa. From the dunes of Sossusvlei to the vastness of Fish River Canyon; the wonder of the Skeleton Coast to the desert-adapted wildlife of Damaraland and Etosha; Namibia has something for everyone!

For a spectacular wildlife experience like no other we recommend heading to Rwanda to track the highly endangered Mountain Gorilla. Rwanda is home to a third of the remaining population of Mountain Gorillas, as well as several rare lesser primates. See these incredible animals eat, doze and play in the bamboo forests of the Parc Nacional des Volcans. Equally exceptional is the prime Chimpanzee habitat of the vast Nyungwe Forest National Park, home to epic rainforest scenery and striking waterfalls.

Botswana is well known for the diversity of its safari experiences, with 17% of the country protected as national parks and game reserves. Most visitors to Botswana come to experience the immense Okavango Delta, a stunning and diverse wetland ecosystem broken up by a labyrinth of waterways.

For a safari with a difference why not explore the lush rainforests and national parks of Madagascar, a fascinating island bursting with unique flora and fauna. It is best known for its large population of lemurs, with approximately 80 different varieties found here! Nosy Be Island just off the north coast of Madagascar offers an idyllic beach escape with a chance to spot dolphins, humpback whales and whale sharks.
