When to go to the Seychelles
As the Seychelles are blessed with a year-long warm, tropical climate, it’s always a good time to visit. Two opposing trade winds generally influence the climate.
The Southeast Trade Winds - April to September
This is the best time to visit the Seychelles.
As the humid northwest trade winds give over to the dryer southeast ones, Seychelles experiences superb weather.
Temperatures fluctuate between 29-30°C, and rainfall becomes less frequent than it is in the autumn and winter.
The Northwest Trade Winds - October to March
Humidity levels rise and rainfall chance increases, but that doesn't keep visitors from coming to the islands in late December and early January.
Hotel and flight prices can be high during the winter holidays in Seychelles, so book several months in advance to ensure the best rate and availability. The weather is generally good, with temperatures going up to 31°C during the day.
