You can expect to cover about 10-15km per day. Route takes 4 days and difficulty grade is moderate.
4. FISH RIVER CANYON HIKING TRAIL
Despite being hailed as one of the toughest hikes in Southern Africa, the Fish River Canyon Hiking Trail is one of the most popular hikes in Namibia. Starting from the main viewpoint near Hobas and ending at the hot springs at |Ai-|Ais, the 85km route takes hikers on a truly unique journey, which consists of four days of uninterrupted quality time in the canyon. This hike is not for the faint-hearted, and we strongly recommend that this is undertaken with a guide. Route takes 4 days and difficulty grade is hard.
5. NAUKLUFT HIKING TRAIL
Accessible only by foot or on horseback, the Naukluft Park is perfect for hiking and offers some spectacular trails, the main one being the eponymous Naukluft Hiking Trail. This challenging but extremely worthwhile adventure lets you explore the sheer size and beauty of the Naukluft Mountains in all their glory. The full hike is 120km long and spread over eight days, but it can be shortened to a more manageable four day hike which covers 58km. Route takes 4-8 days and difficulty grade is hard.
