When To Go To Mauritius
Mauritius enjoys a tropical climate affected by south east trade winds.
Mauritian Summer - October to April
The weather in Mauritius during summer is hot and humid.
In the Eastern and Southern parts, days start as sunny, but from lunch onwards, thunderstorms may start to form producing very heavy rain that may last up to an hour or two.
If you visit the western side of Mauritius, you may find it warmer and drier than those in the east and south.
Mauritian Winter - May to September
During its winter months, the temperature is much cooler and on most days you will not even have to use the Room Air Conditioning.
It rains less and even when it does rain it's mainly in the evening or just a passing shower during the day.
During midday, weather can get pretty hot, so a tan can still be achieved.
