Day 1 - 2 : Lima
Stay at Belmond Miraflores Park for 1 night
Upon arrival to Lima, you will be met at the airport and shown through the terminal to your hotel. Stay at the airport for one night and catch the first flight into the Amazon in the morning.
Days 2 - 5 : Near Puerto Maldonado, Peru
Stay at Inkaterra Reserva Amazonica for 3 nights
Upon arrival into Puerto Maldonado, one of the gateways into the Peruvian Amazon, transfer by boat and overland to your lodge nestled deep within the Amazon Rainforest. All meals and excursions are included during your stay and time is spent exploring the jungle. From hiking through verdant jungle trails, to canoeing along the murky Amazonian creeks and walking through the jungle canopy on a hanging bridge, there is plenty of ways to get under the skin of this pristine wilderness. See giant otters frolicking in the water, playful packs of monkeys swinging in the tree-tops and a plethora of neon-coloured birds fluttering through the canopy.
Days 5 - 7 : Urubamba, Sacred Valley, Peru
Stay at Hotel Sol y Luna for 2 nights
Fly to Cuzco and head straight out into the beautiful landscapes of the Sacred Valley. Explore on a full day guided tour which takes in Chinchero where a fantastic local market can be found, along with Maras salt mine and Moray archaeological site. The next day is at leisure, choose from a number of adventure activities such as biking, white-water rafting or hiking to explore the region's stunning scenery.
Day 7 - 8 : Aguas Calientes, Peru
Stay at Inkaterra Machu Picchu Pueblo Hotel for 1 night
In the morning, take the train to the town of Aguas Calientes, pass through a diverse range of pristine landscapes and on arrival experience a comprehensive guided tour of the impressive site of Machu Picchu, one of the most iconic Inca ruins.
Days 8 - 11 : Cusco, Peru
Stay at Inkaterra La Casona for 3 nights
You may choose to return to Machu Picchu, hike Huayna Picchu or relax in the village of Aguas Calientes and its hot springs.
In the afternoon, take the train back to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Cusco, once the capital of the ancient Inca empire. During your time in Cusco, explore the best of the city at your leisure, using the Cusco tourist ticket to visit the ruins of Sacsayhuaman and the Inca Shrine Qenqo. Marvel at the legendary firestone walls of the Koricancha temple, witness the fascinating geometry of the Stone of the Twelve Angles and visit the magnificent Cathedral housing invaluable colonial works of art.
Days 11 - 15 : Mancora, Peru
Stay at DCO Suites for 4 nights
Fly to Tumbes via Lima, where you will be picked up and transferred (1.5 hours) to your stylish beach hotel in Mancora. Your time in Mancora is yours to spend at leisure. You can take a walk to the nearby beach of Vichayito and return to enjoy the sunset. Tuck into delicious seafood, try a surf lesson and simply soak in the relaxed vibe of this charming coastal town. If travelling between July and October you may also be lucky enough to spot whales off the coast!
Day 15 : Return flight home
Transfer to the airport for your flight back to Lima. On arrival check in for your overnight flight back home.
