This ten day itinerary offers a taste of Thailand’s sun-soaked coast as well as its wildlife-rich jungle interior, not forgetting some time to explore its bustling capital city. The trip begins in Bangkok to discover some of the city’s major landmarks alongside some hidden gems. Journeying further south, you will reach Khao Sok National park for a stay at the renowned Elephant Hills Camp. After spending a few days kayaking through mangroves, feeding and walking with elephants, the trip comes to an end on the beaches of Khao Lak, one of Thailand’s more peaceful beach destinations.
Days 1 - 3 : Bangkok, Thailand
Stay at Riva Surya Bangkok for 2 nights
Upon arrival in Bangkok, you will be met by one of our representatives and transferred to your hotel. Spend the next few days exploring the delights of the city, including a ride of the Skytrain, a visit to the iconic Wat Pho and the Grand Palace and a boat trip along the canals. You may also wish to embark a sunset cycle ride, visit Jim Thomson’s house on a silk route tour, or enjoy a taste of the real culture of Bangkok on a culinary tour of the Bangrak district.
Day 3 : Flight from Bangkok to Phuket
Days 3 - 5 : Khao Sok National Park, Thailand
Stay at Elephant Hills Tented Camp for 2 nights
On the morning of day three, you will be driven to Bangkok’s airport in time for a one and a half hour flight to Phuket. From here, it is a three hour drive to Elephant Hills, a wonderful tented camp amidst the jungles of Khao Sok National Park. Spend the next few days enjoying a range of activities and wildlife experiences, including feeding elephants, canoeing the Sok River and jungle walks.
Days 5 - 10 : Khao Lak, Thailand
Stay at The Sarojin for 5 nights
From Elephant Hills, it is approximately a one hour drive to Khao Lak, a beautiful stretch of coast lining the Andaman Sea. Spend the next four days enjoying the spoils of your surroundings. Unwind on the beach, explore turquoise waters brimming with marine life, discover hidden lagoons and enjoy an array of boat excursions. Within your hotel, enjoy relaxing by the pool and indulging in an array of spa treatments. Your trip draws to a close on the morning of day ten as you are transferred to Phuket Airport in time for your flight home or on to your next destination.

When to go
Thailand’s tropical climate means that the country generally experiences high temperatures and humidity throughout the year, which can split into the hot, cool and rainy seasons. The average temperature ranges from the lowest at round 30°C in December, to the highest at around 36°C between January and April. The best time to visit is between November and February, when the weather is at its best throughout the country. In Central Thailand, rain mostly falls between December and September, whereas in Northern Thailand, the dry seasons is between November and May and the wet season is from June to October. Thailand’s southern parts are split into east and west – the west coast’s wet season is between April and October, whereas on the east coast it is from September to October.
