This 12 day itinerary is perfect for those wishing to explore some of Thailand’s most well-known sights in comfort and style. Starting in Thailand’s bustling capital city, you will travel north to Chiang Rai where you will board a traditional longtail boat to reach a luxurious tented camp nestled amongst the Thai countryside. Next, immerse yourself in golden temple scenery as you continue to Chiang Mai, the cultural hub of northern Thailand, before heading to the pristine beaches of Koh Yao Noi to stay at one of the country’s most indulging hotels.
Days 1 - 4 : Bangkok, Thailand
Stay at Peninsula Bangkok for 3 nights
Upon arrival in Bangkok, you will be met by one of our representatives and transferred to your hotel in the city, with the rest of the day at your leisure to relax and settle in. The following day, enjoy a guided tour of Bangkok, visiting highlights including the Skytrain, Wat Pho and the Grand Palace. Day three is free to explore the city as you wish, perhaps choosing to head to the Ayutthaya, Thailand’s 14th century capital and designated UNESCO World Heritage City.
Day 4 : Flight from Bangkok to Chiang Rai
Days 4 - 6 : Golden Triangle, Thailand
Stay at Four Seasons Tented Camp Golden Triangle for 2 nights
On day four, you will be driven to Bangkok’s Airport in time to board a short one and a half hour flight to Chiang Rai. You will then be transferred by road to a small pier where you continue by traditional long tail boat to the luxury Four Seasons Tented Camp Golden Triangle tucked away amongst lush jungles of Thailand’s Golden Triangle Region. That evening and following day are free to enjoy the spoils of the camp and its surroundings, including rejuvenating spa treatments, a cruise down the Mekong River, sunset cocktails some delicious local cuisine.
Days 6 - 8 : Chiang Mai, Thailand
Stay at 137 Pillars House for 2 nights
From Chiang Rai, you will be driven approximately two and a half hours to Chiang Mai, a hub of cultural activity northern Thailand. The following day, discover Chiang Mai’s spiritual side on a full day excursion into city, including a visit to the old town, the city’s most revered pagoda and the stupa-topped Doi Suthep Mountain before witnessing the evening chanting of the monks.
Day 8 : Flight from Chiang Mai to Phuket
Days 8 - 12 : Phang Nga, Thailand
Stay at Six Senses Yao Noi for 4 nights
The following day, you will be driven to Chiang Mai Airport in time to board a two hour flight to Phuket, followed by an hour car and speedboat transfer to the heavenly island of Yao Noi. Spend the next four nights at one of Thailand’s most luxurious hotels, taking some time to relax on the beach and soak up the sun, enjoying snorkelling and diving trips and island hopping by longtail boat.

When to go
Thailand’s tropical climate means that the country generally experiences high temperatures and humidity throughout the year, which can split into the hot, cool and rainy seasons. The average temperature ranges from the lowest at round 30°C in December, to the highest at around 36°C between January and April. The best time to visit is between November and February, when the weather is at its best throughout the country. In Central Thailand, rain mostly falls between December and September, whereas in Northern Thailand, the dry seasons is between November and May and the wet season is from June to October. Thailand’s southern parts are split into east and west – the west coast’s wet season is between April and October, whereas on the east coast it is from September to October.
