Beginning in Cape Town, discover the sights and beaches of this magnificent city before heading to the Eastern Cape for a few days on safari in Addo Elephant National Park. Here you are likely to find an abundance of elephants as well as other wildlife- a great location for introducing your kids to safari!
Day 1 - 2 : London to Cape Town
Check in for the overnight flight from London to Cape Town
Days 2 - 7 : Cape Town, South Africa
On arrival into Cape Town, you will be met by a representative from the Winchester Mansions where you shall stay for five nights in the Harvey Presidential Suite, with breakfast included. This four star hotel is located in Sea Point, between the V&A and Table Mountain – giving it excellent access to all the sights plus the great beaches of Cape Town. Spend your time exploring Cape Town – take a cable car up Table Mountain, visit historical Robben Island, see the penguins at Boulders Beach, visit Cape Point... Plus, the picturesque Winelands and whale watching in Hermanus (seasonal) are a short drive away.
Days 7 - 10 : Eastern Cape, South Africa
Stay at River Bend Lodge for 3 nights
This morning after breakfast, a representative from Winchester Mansions will transfer you back to Cape Town airport to fly to Port Elizabeth. On arrival you will be met by your guide and driver from River Bend Lodge, where you’ll stay for the next three nights with all meals, house drinks and game viewing activities included. River Bend is tailored towards families and has therefore become a favourite for us when recommending family safaris in South Africa. Full days spent game viewing in Addo Elephant National Park. Addo Elephant National Park was proclaimed in 1931 when only 16 elephants remained in the area. Today, it is South Africa’s third largest national park and a 1,800km² sanctuary for over 550 elephants and a variety of game.
Day 10 - 11 : Johannesburg to London
This morning following a morning game drive and breakfast, you will be transferred to Port Elizabeth Airport to fly to Johannesburg, where you will connect with your overnight flight to London.
