Days 1 - 3 : Beijing, China
Stay at Double Happiness Courtyard Hotel for 2 nights
Begin your adventure around China with a 2 night stay in the fascinating capital city Beijing.
You will spend the time with your own driver and guide exploring all parts of the city and beyond.
You will head to visit the Temple of Heaven first thing in the morning where you will witness local people engaging in activities ranging from Tai Chi to tango. From here you will journey to Beijing's famous hutongs where you will take part in a dumpling making class. The day finishes with a visit to the Forbidden City which includes a walk through the famous Tiananmen Square.
The next day you will travel north out of Beijing to enjoy a hike along the Great Wall of China. You will be taken to the Mutianyu section to avoid the crowds.

Day 3 - 4 : Luoyang
After your visit to the Great Wall you will take the high speed train to Luoyang.
The following morning you will visit the Shaolin Temple which is located between Luoyang & Zhengzhou, a true home of martial arts.
Finish the day with a trip to see the UNESCO listed Longmen Grottoes that spread over a one kilometre stretch of the Yi River.
Days 4 - 6 : Xian, China
Stay at Golden Flower Hotel Xian for 2 nights
Take a tour of the old part of Xian, the capital of 11 imperial dynasties. Take in the impressive Bell Tower and the Small Wild Goose Pagoda. Cycle along the 14km long city wall, for views across the city, and visit the Army of Terracotta Warriors of Emperor Qin Shi Huangdi – considered to be the 8th Wonder of the Ancient World. Your three nights in Xian will be spent at the Golden Flower Hotel.
Days 6 - 8 : Chengdu, China
Stay at Buddha Zen Hotel for 2 nights
A short flight from Xian will bring you to Chengdu in the heart of the Sichuan Province.
To avoid the crowds you will depart Chengdu early the following morning to visit the Bifenxgia Panda Breeding Centre. Here you will get to see first hand the fantastic work that is being done to increase the population of pandas.
Day 8 - 9 : Guilin, China
Stay at Guilin Bravo Hotel for 1 night
A short flight from Chengdu will bring you to Guilin, the gateway to some of southern China's most spectacular rural areas.
Days 9 - 11 : Yangshuo, China
Stay at Tea Cozy Hotel for 2 nights
This morning you will enjoy a picturesque cruise along the Li River from Guilin to Yangshuo.
Yangshuo is a small market town that has sprung up in the last 15 years as travellers’ head to see the picturesque hills that provide the most stunning of backdrops.
Your time in Yangshuo is free to make your own arrangements. You may wish to enjoy a local cooking class or for something more active you can set out on a long cycling trip around the local area.
Days 11 - 13 : Shanghai, China
Stay at Sunrise on the Bund for 2 nights
Spend the next day with a guide exploring both modern and old Shanghai. Your morning starts with a visit to the Pudong district, home to so many of the city's skycrapers. You will be taken to the top of the Shanghai Tower to get a bird's eye view of the city before travelling over to the Bund, the city's famous walkway alongside the river.
Your guide will then accompany you on a walk around the Old Town in the afternoon where you will visit the famous Yu Garden.
