Starting in Buenos Aires, you'll have two full days to explore the wonderful neighbourhoods of historic Recoleta, colourful La Boca and bohemian San Telmo. With plenty to explore, you'll need to refuel on the delicious Argentinian wine at famous Parrillas (steakhouses). In the evening, hit the tango salons for an extra dose of culture! Your next stop will be the beautiful wine region of Mendoza, where there will be plenty of time for relaxation and exploring the vineyards.
Upon arrival in Buenos Aires, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. You'll have two days to explore this vibrant city. Combining historic buildings oozing European flair with contemporary Latin tango bars and steakhouses, Buenos Aires is one of our favourite cities in the whole of South America. Its dynamic food scene will ignite a passion for perfectly grilled steaks and large glasses of full and flavourful malbecs. It's not just the food we think you'll love, but its steamy tango culture and grand architecture in traditional neighbourhoods - making Buenos Aires a unique city unlike any other in the world.
After your cultural hit in Buenos Aires, you will be picked up and transferred to the airport for your internal flight to Mendoza. Offering spectacular green panoramas of lakes, vineyards and the Andes mountains. In fact, it's the perfect place to explore Aconcagua Mountain, the highest mountain outside of Asia. It will be easy to while away the days here, with private tours to vineyards and an abundance of intimate restaurants serving superb gastronomy. Alternatively, if you'd like to get your blood pumping you can white water raft along the rapids of the Mendoza River, go horse riding or mountain biking! Whatever you decide to do, be sure to end the day with a relaxing trip to the thermal pools and mud baths of Cacheuta.
Day 7 - 8 : Flight Home.
When to go
Due to the sheer size of Argentina, there are different climates throughout the country. For this reason, it is better to visit different areas at different times. We recommend visiting between November and March for pleasant temperatures. our advice on when to visit the Valdes Peninsula will largely depend on the whale season. The northern region of Argentina boasts warm weather and fewer crowds during the months of May and June.
