This itinerary has been carefully designed to show you the diversity of flora and fauna found within Argentina. Start in Buenos Aires, the country's cultural hub, before discovering the lesser-known Ibera Wetlands, home to Argentina’s greatest concentration of wildlife which includes over 350 species of birds, caiman, monkeys, capybara, pampas deer, river otters and much more. Take in the magnificent natural splendour of Iguazu falls and the tropical wildlife of the national park. See penguins, sea lions and whales amongst other wildlife on the coast of Peninsula Valdes and end relaxing in the pampas, where you can experience the 'Gaucho' way of life as you ride with Argentine cowboys.
Days 1 - 3 : Buenos Aires, Argentina

On arrival into Buenos Aires, you will be met and transferred to your hotel located in the trendy palermo Soho neighbourhood. Discover the city highlights on a half day tour and visit the colourful houses of La Boca, the antique hub of San Telmo and wander around the green and leafy Palermo. Days 3 - 6 : Ibera Wetlands, Argentina

Fly to Posadas and continue overland to Rincon del Socorro, a small and authentic lodge which is perfectly placed for exploring the Iberá Wetlands. The vast Iberá Wetlands are home to Argentina’s greatest concentration of wildlife, including capybara, caiman, alligator, giant otter, marsh deer and over 350 species of birds. Days 6 - 8 : Iguazu Falls, Argentina
Stay at La Aldea de la Selva Lodge for 2 nights
In the morning you will travel by road to Iguazu, passing through some jesuit ruins along the way. During your time in Iguazu, we have included a guided tour of the Argentine side of the waterfalls. Explore the numerous walkways and have the chance to explore the lush rainforest surrounds. During your stay, you will also embark on an exhilarating boat safari, which takes you right up to the foot of the falls, offering a completely different and close-up perspective. Be warned you will get wet! On the final morning, you'll be transferred to the airport for your flight.
Days 8 - 11 : Peninsula Valdes, Argentina
Stay at Oceano Patagonia: Wild Coast Residence for 3 nights
Fly south to Trelew and on arrival, you'll be transferred to Puerto Madryn. The Valdés Peninsula is a nature reserve and UNESCO World Heritage Site, inhabited by an array of wildlife, including sea lions, elephant seals, fur seals and southern right whales. During your time here we have included a number of tours to get under the skin of the area and maximise your wildlife opportunities. Enjoy a full day tour to Punta Tombo and see a large penguin colony (Sept-Mar), visit the small village of Gaiman, a welsh town revered for its welsh tea. Discover the Valdes Peninsula on a full day tour, providing the opportunity to see dolphins, whales, elephant seals and other wildlife, depending on the time of year. Embark on a whale-watching tour off of the Peninsula Valdes and see various species of whales (May to Dec) and see a huge array of bird species.

Days 11 - 13 : Pampas, Argentina
Fly back to Buenos Aires where you'll be transferred to your estancia in the Pampas. The lodge’s location in San Antonio de Areco, is the birthplace of the gaucho tradition and less than a two hour drive from Buenos Aires. It is a desirable refuge from the hustle and bustle of the city and the ideal way to end your Argentine adventure. Days are filled with excursions on horseback, by carriage or mountain bike and all meals are included during your stay.
Day 13 : Return flight home
After a morning at leisure, transfer to the airport for your flight home.

When to go
Due to the sheer size of Argentina, there are different climates throughout the country. For this reason, it is better to visit different areas at different times. We recommend visiting between November and March for pleasant temperatures. our advice on when to visit the Valdes Peninsula will largely depend on the whale season (usually October - December).
