Salta city was founded in 1582, and it still has a Spanish nature that distinguishes it from the rest of the Argentinean capital cities. It's a truly lovely place to explore on foot, stopping for a quick empanada to keep you going!
You will spend today exploring the city, enjoying visits to its churches and museums, as well as a trip on their cable car up to Cerro San Bernardo for a panoramic view of the city. Later, you will take a trip to San Lorenzo summer villa, which is 10km away. Here you will find the National University, Vaqueros river, Quebrada de Castellanos and a fantastic crafts market. Return to the city to enjoy an evening at your leisure.
