Walking Tour of Salta
Enjoy the very best of Salta city on this wonderful walking tour. Explore the colonial architecture, monumental statues and cultural museums such as the famous MAAM (Museum of High Altitude Archaeology) whilst being surrounded by stunning landscapes.
Salta city was founded in 1582, and it still has a Spanish nature that distinguishes it from the rest of the Argentinean capital cities. It's a truly lovely place to explore on foot, stopping for a quick empanada to keep you going!
You will spend today exploring the city, enjoying visits to its churches and museums, as well as a trip on their cable car up to Cerro San Bernardo for a panoramic view of the city. Later, you will take a trip to San Lorenzo summer villa, which is 10km away. Here you will find the National University, Vaqueros river, Quebrada de Castellanos and a fantastic crafts market. Return to the city to enjoy an evening at your leisure.
