Walking The Blessings Trail
A fascinating walk through Yangon's downtown streets to discover the diverse religions and cultures of Yangon, unveiling a side of the city rarely explored by tourists.
You will be collected from your hotel by your guide and driver and transferred to Kheng Hock Temple in downtown Yangon, Chinatown's largest temple. From here, the walk will begin, visiting mosques, churches, Hindu temples, a synagogue and one of the only Jain temples outside of India.
Whilst walking, your guide will explain the rich tapestry of religions in Yangon and you will also learn of local Burmese traditions such as Nat worship, astrology and even the lottery. The walk covers approximately two and a half kilometres with plenty of stops along the way, including a tea and snack break with the chance to meet with some friendly locals. The walk comes to an end at Sule Paya, a revered Burmese stupa and one of the city's most recognisable landmarks.
