Tokyo Full Day Anime Tour
Anime is considered just as important culturally in Japan as traditional arts, with this full day tour offering a fantastic insight. Accompanied by a private guide, visit cafes, amusement parks and stores all dedicated to animation.
This morning, your guide will meet you at your hotel and take you to the north east of the city using the excellent public transport system. Here you will enter J-World, an amusement park dedicated to the various heroes and legends of the Shonen Jump magazine, the best-selling and one of the longest-running manga magazine. There are various games, quests and museums inside which are a must for manga fans, and your guide will also be on hand to translate or explain anything.
From J-World, your guide will escort you to the Pokemon Centre, one of the largest Pokemon stores in the world, with anything and everything related to the little pocket monsters as well as some rare finds and merchandise for sale.
Your guide will suggest some great options for lunch before you head to the Mandarake and Animate stores, two huge meccas for all that is manga and anime where aficionados travel across the globe to find collectables, with the people watching almost as good as the shopping.
On a day that expands the senses, the only place to end the day for treat and soft drink is Gundam Café in Akihabara, Tokyo’s electric district. The café, dedicated to Japan’s favourite robotic animation, always attracts fans from across Japan and is on the ‘must-see’ checklist for any fans of the genre. After a snack, your guide will escort you back to your hotel using the public transport network.
