Tiong Bahru Walk Down Memory Lane
Discover Singapore's lesser-visited treasures including the hawker stalls of Tiong Bahru Market, one of Singapore's oldest temples, a traditional family bakery, and soak-up panoramic city views from the sky-bridge of Pinnacle@Duxton housing project.
Head away from the common tourist trail to discover Singapore's old world charm, hipster streets and two very different housing projects. The first stop is the skybridge at the Pinnacle@Duxton, an award-winning housing project that offers an excellent panorama over the Singapore skyline. From the shiny and modern to the old and characterful, the tour continues to the charming and eclectic neighbourhood of Tiong Bahru. Visit the Tiong Bahru Market, browse the hawker stalls and sample some local culinary delights. Continue to the Qi Tan Gong Temple, one of Singapore's oldest temples built to honour the Monkey God. The next stop is a family-run bakery that has been preparing traditional retro cakes for over four generations before continuing to view a unique hotel inspired by Singapore's colonial years. This tour will operate without the market if it is closed for cleaning or maintenance.
