Takayama Sake Brewery Visit and Japanese Tapas Cooking Experience
A fun and distinctive tour in Takayama’s old historical hub, visiting a sake brewery, followed by a Japanese tapas class, where you can eat what you have made and enjoy delicious sake afterwards.
This delightful and unique tour takes place in the quaint historical centre of Takayama, where you will first visit a sake brewery to learn how the nation’s favourite drink is made. This brewery is normally closed to tourists, offering you the chance to experience an authentic establishment where everyone is hard at work. Making your way through the old town on a pleasant walk, you will reach your next stop, where you can make Japanese tapas under the watchful eye of a skilled home cook. Once you have made the dishes you can eat everything you have cooked, paired with some delicious Takayama sake.
Please note that this is a shared tour and participants must be over 20 to enter the brewery, as this is Japan’s legal drinking age.
