Tabanan Street Food Cooking Class
Enjoy an early morning bike ride through rice terraces and villages, to the market where you will purchase fresh local ingredients, before learning five traditional Balinese recipes under the guidance of the top chef at the luxurious Puri Taman Sari.
Puri Taman Sari in the Tabanan district of Bali, is a traditional Balinese compound, owned by a member of the Mengwi royal family, nestled in shady coconut groves and surrounded by rice fields. The morning starts with coffee and a briefing, before guests take to mountain bikes to cycle through the picturesque scenery to the local market. Once you’ve chosen your cooking ingredients, you can enjoy a Balinese breakfast before heading off to Dalem Tunkub Temple, where you can watch the locals climb the coconut trees and learn how to create Canang Sari, the Hindu daily offering to the gods.
Back at Puri Taman Sari you will be shown how to make Chicken Betutu, before the cooking class with the chef, who will lead you through five different Balinese recipes as you prepare lunch together. After lunch, you can spend the afternoon at Puri Taman Sari, relaxing around the pool, or be transferred straight back to your hotel.
