Spirit of Belimbing
Enjoy a gentle seven-kilometre trek through coffee plantations and across rice-paddy terraces, before cooling off in the sacred Benben Waterfall. After lunch back at your hotel, attend a Balinese temple ceremony in one of Belimbing‘s ancient temples.
After an early morning pick up you will visit the remote Belimbing region in Bali’s Tabalan area. Enjoy a light snack of tea or coffee and cookies before starting the seven-kilometre trek through tea and coffee plantations and up and down the rice-paddy terraces. This is not an arduous trek and your guide will explain how the fruits and rice are grown and harvested. The trek ends at the secluded and sacred Benben Waterfall, where you can cool off and cleanse away any bad spirits, with a Hindu priest on hand for assistance. After lunch back at your hotel, you will then be dressed in Balinese traditional costume and taken to one of Belimbing’s ancient jungle temples to see a Hindu offering-to-the-gods ceremony and meet the monkeys that live there, before returning to your hotel in time for dinner.
As rice terraces are slippery, please wear suitable footwear with good grip and bring a swimming costume.
