Sinharaja Rainforest Trek

Sinharaja, which is protected by UNESCO is a spectacular nature biosphere and one of the country’s last remaining areas of rainforest, covering a space of 190 square kilometers and providing habitat for some of Sri Lanka’s rarest and most endangered species. Drive to the entrance of the forest and then set off on your trek with an experienced local guide. Discover a myriad of endemic tree species, plants, insects, reptiles, birds and mammals, and walk past several glistening waterfalls. Sinharaja can often be wet and is also home to leeches, so please come prepared.
