Rainforest Trekking and Canoeing Lake Tamblingan
Enjoy a day exploring Bali’s central highlands and three caldera lakes, Beratan, Buyan and Tamblingan. See the iconic ‘floating’ Ulun Danu Temple, trek through rainforest to the shores of Lake Tamblingan and travel in a traditional dugout canoe.
After a morning pick up and drive through Bali’s beautiful central highlands, your first stop is Bali’s famous 17th century Ulun Danu Temple, an important water temple built on protruding rock over Lake Beratan. When the water level is high, it creates the illusion of the temple ‘floating’ on the lake. This is followed by a gentle trek through rainforest taking around one hour down to the shores of Lake Tamblingan, continuing your journey by boat as you are rowed across the water in an authentic, traditional dugout canoe.
