Palo Verde National Park and Pottery Demo in Guaitil
For an insight into Costa Rican culture, you'll stop off in the quaint town of Guaitil where you will have the opportunity to admire a pottery demo. You'll then head into the jungle for a tour of the vast wetlands and catch glimpses of curious wildlife.
In the morning, you will be picked up from your hotel and be driven to the town of Guaitil. Here, you will discover the art of craftsmanship and meet the artisans of this delicate ceramic pottery. For generations, families have carried on the tradition of creating pottery in this way and today you will be able to see first hand how these ornaments are created. You'll be given a detailed demonstration of how these mounds of mud clay are transformed into beautiful decorations.
From the town you'll visit Palo Verde National Park, a wildlife refuge consisting of wetlands, animals and bird life. You will board a boat which will take you along the river spotting crocodiles, giant iguanas and monkeys moving quickly across the branches - an unforgettable adventure through one of Costa Rica's most pristine jungle areas.
