Mutiny tour of Delhi
This experience takes you back 150 years to the place where Indian soldiers spent 6 months fighting the British for their independence.
The mutiny tour of Delhi transports you back to the year 1857, when India first fought for its freedom. The British East India Company had lost control and was being overrun by Indian freedom fighters. This tour teaches you about the fascinating story of the rebellion and takes you to historical sights often overlooked by tourists. These include St. James Church, Kashmiri Gate, Nicholson Gateway and Mutiny Memorial. John Nicholson worked for the British East India Company and was responsible for planning the storming of Delhi. This tour uses a mix of walking and rickshaw to cover all the sites and you will learn a huge amount about India’s history.
