Meet the Padaung Tribe of Pan Phet
Visit the village of Pan Phet, home to the Padaung tribe, often locally referred to as the 'long necked ladies'.
After a drive and an a one hour walk through local villages and farmland, you will reach the village of Pan Phet. The village is home to the Paduang tribe, also known as the long-necked ladies, a group of women famous for the many golden rings that adorn their neck. Although the tradition is slowly waning, the older tribe members can still be seen wearing the traditional pieces. This excursions offer a rare chance to interact with these women, many of whom have never encountered a tourist or left their village.
