KK Old Town Walking Tour and Spice Market
Enjoy a walking tour of the Kota Kinabablu old town and the spice market.
Meet your guide and continue on foot to the Handicraft Market to browse handcrafted products from around the region. Visit the spice bazaar and learn about various spices and their uses whilst learning about the different ingredients used in cooking curries and local Malaysian cuisines. After this, refresh yourself with some Teh Tarik (pulled tea) and ‘Roti Canai’ (an Indian pancake eaten with curry sauce). Proceed to the town’s oldest part, stopping of at the Padang Merdeka, Atkinson Clock Tower, and Australia Place. Then, take a relaxing stroll down Gaya Street, the oldest street in Kota Kinabalu which used to be the heart of the town and stop for some fresh Chinese pastries or buns.
