Hsipaw River Tour
Journey by longtail boat along Burma's Doktwaddy River, visiting a 150 year old monastery, a hill tribe and enjoying a swimming break at the river's confluence.
A fifteen minute walk will bring to you the river jetty to board your private longtail boat. Cruise upstream for approximately thirty minutes until you arrive at a fruit plantation. Disembark the boat and walking through the plantation and its village to reach a 150 year old monastery, approximately 40 minutes walking time.
After wandering around the monastery and meeting some of the monk, re-board the boat and cruise up to the Doktwaddy River confluence. Here, the boat will stop and you will have the chance to swim in the river, so just soak up the beautiful scenery. Continue to a hill tribe community where you will enjoy lunch and interact with some village members before returning to Hsipaw by boat.
