A walking tour of Mumbai, Dabbawallah and Dhobighat where you will see some of Mumbai’s architectural highlights and immerse yourself in local culture and daily life.
This walking tour starts at 9am and begins with the gothic masterpieces of FW Stevens and the grand Chatrapati Shivaji Terminus, also known as the Victoria Terminus. After this you will stroll down Heritage Mile, which is one of the oldest parts of the city, which is reminiscent of its colonial past. From here you will make your way to the ornate Flora Fountain, before exploring the historic district of Kala Ghoda with its many gothic buildings and numerous art galleries. Other points on the walking tour include the Gateway of India, Oval Maidan, University Library and Convocation Hall, High Court Building. You will also have the chance to see the Dhabawalas (lunch delivery men) sorting out their meals and your guide will explain the ingenious system they use.
