Green Hill Valley Elephant Camp
Spend time with elephants at Green Hill Valley Elephant Camp, learning of the elephant’s pasts and then, after watching them feed, join them in a natural pool and bathe the animals.
Transfer from Kalaw to Magwe village and head to the Green Hill Valley Elephant Camp, a 150 acre camp just 40 minutes from Kalaw set up by two farm tour guides with the aim of protecting local ecology, elephants and traditions of the local people.
On arrival, enjoy a refreshing welcome drink and be briefed on the activities ahead. After briefing, pass through a reforestation project as you head to the river. You will then be greeted by the elephants and your guide will explain their stories. Watch as the elephants feed and afterwards change into some traditional Shan clothing in preparation of bathing the elephants. You will walk to a natural pool and can join the elephants in the water. Following this, you will return to the main camp for lunch and in the afternoon you can interact more with the elephants.
