Full Day Hakone Mt Fuji National Park Highlights Tour
A full day of exploring the Hakone and Mount Fuji National Park area, visiting the sulphuric hot springs of Mount Owakudani, a pirate ship ride and other activities on Lake Ashinoko, and a train that takes you through the green mountains and valleys.
This full day experience allows you to explore Hakone and the surrounding Mount Fuji National Park. Take advantage of the numerous transport options in the park, such as the world’s second longest cable car to take you up Mount Owakudani. The car passes over sulphur fumes, hot springs and hot rivers, as the area is volcanic. Visitors are encouraged to cook a hardboiled egg in the sulphuric hot springs, said to add seven years to your life.
Lake Ashinoko was formed by a volcanic eruption that happened over 3000 years ago. Journey across the lake on a magnificent replica pirate ship, which children will love. You can also explore the mountains on the Hakone Tozan ‘switchback train’ that twists and turns through the meandering hills, with wonderful views of the surrounding verdant valleys. This tour can also be arranged solely using private transport, visiting each site in a car.
