Fish Market and Sushi Making at a Local Home
Explore a fish market before visiting a local home for a lesson in sushi making.
SEafood is a staple in Tokyo and with your guide you will be able to explore an interesting seafood market, where produce goes as soon as it is purchased and processed from the auction and warehouse, so you will have access to some of the freshest seafood possible.
After exploring the market, you will be taken to a Japanese home where your hosts will teach you the intricacies of sushi making. You will create maki (rolled sushi), nigiri (rice topped with a slice of raw fish) and gunkan maki (rolled sushi wrapped in seaweed) under the expert guidance of your hosts. After creation comes the fun part of eating the sushi you have prepared, before your guide escorts you back to the closest station and you can continue your day.
