Discover Hidden Angkor by Bicycle
Explore the awe-inspiring Angkor Archaeological Park by bicycle, travelling by quiet pathways and visiting lesser-known temples. This is a fantastic opportunity to get a bit more off the beaten track, finishing with lunch at a traditional Khmer house.
During this half-day tour, you will visit a number of stunning temples, made all the more special because you are likely to be some of the only visitors. The sites you will visit include Prasat Chrung, one of the four cornerstone temples of the park, the Takeo Temple, which is one of the tallest buildings, and Ta Nei Temple, which is hidden away in the forest. You will also visit the mysterious Preah Khan, an expansive 12th century temple which has been partially reclaimed by the jungle. Part of your journey will also include cycling along a single-track path on top of the city wall, adding to the sense of adventure.
After a morning of exploring the hidden corners of the Angkor Archaeological Park, you will stop for lunch at a traditional Khmer house, located in a village beside the Srah Srang reservoir. Enjoy a simple meal and take some time to chat to the host about day to day life in the village.
