Deer Cave & Lang Cave Tour
Explore two of the UNESCO listed Mulu Caves on this half day tour. Begin with the Lang’s Cave and its dramatic stalagmites and stalactites, followed by the Deer Cave, the world’s largest known cave passage.
You will be met at your hotel and transferred to the Mulu National Park headquarters for registration. Following lunch at the park’s canteen, enjoy a 2.7km walk through riverine land and lowland forest to Lang’s Cave and the Deer Cave. After inspecting the stunning stalagmite and stalactites of Lang’s Cave, head to Deer Cave, a gigantic 2 kilometre long and almost 175 metre high cave passage home to an estimated two to three million bats.
After exploring these two caves, continue to the bat observatory platform for an opportunity to witness a large exodus of bats spiralling out of the cave and ascending to the sky in search of food. You will then take the walk back to the park’s headquarters where you will be collected and transferred back to your hotel.
