Bandhavgarh National Park Game Drives
This game drive experiences offers both morning and afternoon drives in the park, which is often considered one of the ultimate tiger refuges in the world.
Bandhavgarh was declared a national park in 1968 when special conservation measures were taken. Before this, the forests about Bandhavgarh were maintained as the game preserve of the royal family of Rewa. The Maharajas used it as a hunting ground for themselves and their guests. Set amidst the Vindhyanchal ranges, the park covers an area of 437 square kilometres and has varying landscapes, from forests, to bamboo and grasslands. The main game viewing area is in the core of the park and consists of 32 picturesque wooded hills. The vegetation along the streams and marshes is rich in bird-life, and you can expect to see Black Ibis, Egyptian Vulture and Kingfisher among many others. On your game drives you may also be able to spot Bengal tiger, leopard, wild boar, sloth bear and striped hyena.
