Bali Street Food Experience
Discover the culinary delights of Bali on a guided tour where you will learn how to prepare and cook a local dish in a traditional Balinese house, visit a local warung and the Gianyar Night Market, before enjoying an authentic dining experience.
Accompanied by your local ‘foodie’ guide, you will spend the afternoon visiting a traditional Balinese house on the outskirts of Ubud, where you will learn how coconut oil is produced and used to cook Pepes Clengis, a traditional rice dish wrapped in banana leaves. After a brief stop at a local warung to try Cendol, a jelly-like drink made of tapioca, coconut milk and brown sugar, you will get the chance to experience the famous Gianyar Night Market, full of the sounds of hundreds of cooking pots and families eating such delicacies as roast pig, sweet cakes, fried bananas and coconut balls. Here you can try another Balinese speciality, Bubur Injin, a fermented black sticky rice cake. The evening ends with a traditional dining experience of sharing meals on banana leaves, a style of dining traditionally enjoyed during ceremonies and special occasions.
