The jagged peninsula of Bako National Park is located close to the city of Kuching and accessible by boat ride from the Malay village of Bako. Home to animals such as wild boar, silver leaf monkeys, proboscis monkey and monitor lizards, and boasting almost every type of vegetation in the country: the national park is an adventurer’s paradise. The rare proboscis monkeys, endemic to the island of Borneo, can be seen there and catching a sighting is a treat for a handful of lucky explorers. With diverse terrain, from mangrove swamps to lowland rainforest, and an extensive choice treks which showcase the flora, it is bound to be an unforgettable day out. A packed lunch will be included.
