Ancient East Coast Bali
Immerse yourself in ancient Balinese history and culture, taking in historic Klungkung Palace, the traditional village of Tenganan, Goa Lawah Temple and the beautiful rice paddy fields of Rendang.
This full day tour starts with a visit to Klungkung Palace, which has some of the best-preserved examples of traditional Balinese architecture, along with a large selection of Hindu art. You then travel through the beautiful rice paddy fields of Rendang, to arrive at Candidasa, a relaxed beachside town, for lunch and a chance to shop.
After lunch, the next stop is the ancient village of Tenganan, home to the Bali Aga, Bali’s original inhabitants, where time has stood still for hundreds of years. Learn about this ancient culture, before heading to the Balinese Hindu temple, Goa Lawah, one of the six most holy temples on the island & known locally as the Bat Cave, owing to the hordes of bats that live there.
