Afternoon Kanha National Park Game Drive

Kanha is one of the biggest national parks in India, extending over 1945 square kilometres, with a core game viewing area if 940 square kilometres. The park is a beautiful area of forest and lightly wooded grassland with many rivers and streams. It supports an excellent variety of wildlife, with over 200 species of bird. Keen birders should request to go to the hills where the bamboo forests harbour many species. Commonly seen birds include Pond Heron, Black Ibis, Crested Serpent Eagle, Hawk Eagle, White Breasted Kingfisher and many others. Kanha Tiger Reserve was created in the core area of the park under the Project Tiger programme in 1974. On your game drives here you can expect to spot tigers, leopards, wild dogs and cats and a number of deer species.
